Just a quick reminder to be kind to yourself. These are crazy times. And try to be kind to others, too. 🫂 If we act with integrity and kindness, we can make the world a better place.
🍝EAT: CREAMY PASTA WITH SUN-DRIED TOMATOES, GARLIC & HERBS😋
Pasta with sweet sun-dried tomatoes, lots of garlic, plenty of fresh herbs, and a touch of cream that’s finished with a heavy blanket of parmesan, what’s not to love? It’s great when you make it and it’s excellent the next day, too. This dish was a big hit with my family - everyone went back for seconds and even thirds and our younger son specifically requested the leftovers for his lunch at school. Thanks to the early warmth this spring, I was able to use fresh chives and oregano from our garden.

The cowardly Republican party is urging Congresspeople NOT to hold town halls to avoid people’s questions and anger. As you might expect, that’s just making voters even angrier. 📖 BOOK RECOMMENDATION: STATE OF WONDER BY ANN PATCHETT 💚
I’m a big fan of Ann Patchett’s writing and State of Wonder is one of my favorites (Tom Lake is fantastic, too). She manages to deftly weave science, the Amazon rainforest, drugs, relationships, moral complexity, big questions, and more together into one tremendous story. If you haven’t read it yet, I envy you the journey ahead. Buy it used or take it out of your local library.
